False Alerts During Rain

We've had our Ring Pro doorbell for about 3 months. In order to customize (reduce) alerts, we created a new default motion zone and adjusted the motion sensitivity. These settings are working well for us in general.... until it rains. When it rains, especially at night, we get a lot of false alerts. I'm assuming this has something to do with a combination of infra-red sensing and the rain itself. Has anyone else had this challenge, and if were you able to solve it - what did you do?
