extending wedge for better view

I installed a Ring 2 and a corner wedge kit that I had at my parents which works great but I need to actually have the doorbell come off the wall more to get a better view. Has anyone ever extended a coner wedge and if so what did you use?The wedge that is sold only creates angles up or down. The corner wedge works fine but just want the doorbell about a half inch off the wall.
