Doorbell 3 plus - no video after charging. Signal strength?
A week ago I charged the battery and have struggled since to get the doorbell to work. It connects but no live view, recording, doorbell functionality (with Alexa). I have only managed to get it to connect once since then, when the doorbell was sat next to the router. I then tried to reinstall it on the other side of the wall and again no video. I have fiddled with every router setting under the sun based on online discussion. Nothing worked. …But putting the thing next to the router and it suddenly started working. 2m from its normal position, one wall away. I am really considering scrapping this piece of rubbish and finding something wired and robust. What signal strength does the doorbell need? Currently I have 55 and no video. It worked at 16 next to the router.

Hi @user_e19a52. Do you have a dual-band router, with both 2.4GHz and 5GHz networks? The Video Doorbell Plus 3 can connect to both, but 2.4GHz has a farther effective range than 5GHz. Make sure you're selecting the 2.4GHz network when reconnecting your Doorbell, as this should offer a more stable connection where you're installing the Doorbell.
