Your Ring Doorbell 3 is designed to detect motion from visitors as they come to your front door, so it may not capture exactly the same events as your Floodlight Cam captures, since they will have different fields of view. Sometimes adjusting the Doorbell's position or angle can help ensure it is capturing visitors coming to your door, and you will find more information on that in the guide I linked. It may take some trial and error with the settings, as everyone's home is unique and there is no one-size-fits-all solution for your preferences when it comes to your home security. :)

  My Ring 3 Doorbell usually detects someone approaching my door, but sometimes it fails to detect a person. This is an intermittent problem but annoying.

  Mine has been doing the exact same thing, I have set the frequency and sensitivity to the highest, It will notify me every time a car goes past but not when someone is actually at my gate or walking into my garden unless they are at my door, Also if someone has pressed the doorbell, by the time the live view connects they would have already gone as it takes a while to load, I have a strong WiFi connection and have noticed missing events regularly, my device health is good too.

  @Ze3 How high is the Doorbell mounted from the bottom of your door? Also is your door at the top of a set of steps/stairs?
