Corrosion and pitting

My ring doorbell has become pitted around the button and paint beginning to come away(bronze faceplate)  After looking into this I have realised it’s a fault that countless others have and after speaking to ring customer service I was told it was damage that is not their fault! And would not replace but offered a discount for a new one.  Mines under a year old which is a joke and have decided to cancel at the end of contract and go somewhere else sadly.  Service was unsympathetic and rude tbh.
