I have a battery-operated Ring video doorbell 3 that I use with a Ring Chime Pro. I’d like to attach the doorbell to the existing doorbell wiring. To do this, do I just attach the existing doorbell wiring to the Ring doorbell (following the instructions for a Ring doorbell 3)? We built the house in XXXX. Are there any transformer issues I need to address, or do I just go ahead and attach the doorbell to the wiring?

Hi @a4edb4316d7f55fab64e. We have steps on how to install the Video Doorbell 3 with an existing doorbell here. A transformer with a voltage of 8-24 VAC, 40VA max, 50/60Hz is required, and you can locate a list of compatible chime kits here. If your chime kit is incompatible, it will likely not ring when someone rings the Doorbell. Let me know if you have any other questions.
