My original Ring Doorbell (wired or charge) will not connect to the att internet air wifi. It gets to 95% during set-up and just seems to time-out. There is no error message. The light simply goes off after turning from spinning blue to flashing top white and then it just stops. I’ve reset the device, my phone, the att internet air hub etc. I’ve tried creating a guest WiFi network with no special characters, no luck. It is fully charged but nothing I do makes it connect. Does it not work with internet air? It is supposed to have both 2.4 and 5ghz connections.

Hi @user_ef5bac. What is the model name of your Ring Doorbell? You should be able to find this on the Device Health page in the Ring app. Not every model of Ring Doorbell or Camera is compatible with 5GHz connections. When creating the guest network, try using only the 2.4GHz connection if possible. I'd also recommend checking that the ports and protocols used by Ring devices are open on your network.

I’m having the same exact issue. Ring camera will not connect to ATT air internet no matter what I do. I even called ATT and asked them to turn on and make both 5 GHZ and 2.4 GHZ connections available and that still didn’t work. Every single device in my house can see both networks at both speeds no problem. Only device having a problem is Ring. At a loss of what to do.

So I just swapped from ATT hardwire/copper line internet to Internet Air. I was having issues connecting my ring doorbells. While troubleshooting with ATT and Constantly getting the 95% complete, I found this post this post while he was creating me a 2.4GHz internet and a 5.0GHz internet profile. Nothing was working but I found in the ring app if having issues try restoring to factory settings. So I did this, which you know you’ve done it when you hear the start up sound come on. After this, I tried to reconnect and boom it worked immediately. I have successfully set up 2 ring doorbells along with having 15 other devices set up.
