I cannot get my doorbell to ring when someone presses the doorbell on my Android phone either. I get alerts but not the doorbell. Can someone please answer?

Hi @KAZZA48. Yes. You can get alerts on your phone when there is Motion or when your Doorbell button is pushed. You can learn about this [here](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/210052646-Getting-Notifications-for-Ring-Doorbells-and-Security-Cameras). @user64046, if you are having issues with your notifications, please check this Help Center article [here](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/211676423-How-to-Troubleshoot-Ring-Notification-Issues-for-Android-Devices). I hope this helps!

Hi @KAZZA48. If you have an iPhone, check [here](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/210266406-How-to-Troubleshoot-Ring-Notification-Issues-for-iOS-Devices). If you are using an Android, check [here](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/211676423-How-to-Troubleshoot-Ring-Notification-Issues-for-Android-Devices). These pages will help you troubleshoot notifications of your phone. Be sure that your phone is not on vibrate and volume is up. Please also keep in mind that you cannot have a Ring notification play a ring tone like a phone call would. Hope this helps!

You're missing the point. Yes we get motion notifications on the phone, but we want separate chime notifications when the doorbell is pressed. Not every motion rings the bell (postman, for example)

Hi @user55933. If you want a separate Chime notification for when the postman comes, you can purchase a [Ring Chime](https://ring.com/ca/en/products/chime-gen2).
