Auto answer ring on Alexa?

Is there a way to have an Echo show display who is at the door when they ring the bell? It will announce but having to yell "alexa answer front door" is pointless as ot takes it too long to open the video feed.

Good question @Camuser33! At this time the Alexa enabled devices and skills work through commands. As you stated, saying "Alexa show me the Front Door" is the intended functionality of this skill. Check out our [help center article](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/115003247146) about Alexa enabled devices' skills with Ring. Of course, most integrations offer great potential to accomplish various things. Perhaps a neighbor will share their experience, suggestions, or ideas here. :)

This is an often requested feature that just makes sense. It doesn't need to be on by default. Consumers can opt to have this feature enabled as it may not suite everyone. If it's not a technical or hardware limitation, then Ring is sleeping on this one in my opinion. I own multiple ring cameras and the ring alarm and though Ring has made steps to advance their software and UI, there are still sometimes very slow to add obvious features and features that competitors have had for years that just seem like it should have been implemented a long time ago (i.e. geofencing, the ability to set schedules for indoor cameras, or even a simple way to turn on and off indoor cameras) . Come on Ring.

THE most requested feature, whether you look at Echo or Ring at Amazon, or look at Echo and Ring here, or just search the web. EVERYONE knows it's a no-brainer -- but impossible to solve. Yes, it's a skill, and yes, skills are enabled by voice commands, but surely Ring could work with Amazon to have this ONE feature built-in, particularly given they are bundling Ring with Echo Shows. It's the first thing everyone wants, and it's the one thing that's impossible. Not only that, but in a household with more than one Show if you try saying "Show me the door" it won't always show on the one you're near (unlike most Echo commands, activating the Ring just happens with any particular Show that can hear you, not necessarily the one you are nearest. Which does you a crapload of good if you then can't see it). I know a lot of folks are returning both the Ring and the Show because of this -- you folks really need to pressure Amazon to fix.

My son has a Nest doorbell and a Google Home Hub (I think that is what they call the product with screen). As soon as someone rings the doorbell the live wiew is active on the screen. As was mentioned, asking Alexa to show the view takes time and, in my case, ineffective over the barking dogs.
