Alexa announces someone is at the wrong door
When someone pushes the Ring Video Doorbell Pro wired at my BACK door, Alexa incorrectly announces somebody is at my FRONT door. How do I fix this? The Ring app correctly identifies the back door, it's just Alexa that gets it wrong. I will add that this doorbell used to be at the front door but I moved it to the back door after replacing it with a new Video Doorbell Pro 2. I followed the wiring diagram provided by Ring and renamed it Back Door. The mechanical chime correctly sounds just one ding for the back door, so the wiring appears to be correct. And again, Ring the app correctly identifies the back door being rung. The only fault seems to be with the Alexa announcement.

I changed the name in the Alexa app to Back Doorbell because I already had a contact sensor named Back Door. I don't know if the duplicate name was causing the problem but it works now after changing it. Thanks for the help.

Hi @user_6d439d. This is something that you'll need to fix in your Alexa app. You can select the device in your Alexa app and rename it. Let me know if this helps!
