Hey @mattyoxford. If your chime kit is not compatible, then the Ring Video Doorbell will be unable to ding the internal chime kit. Which chime kit do you have? You can verify if it's compatible in our Help Center Article [here for the Ring Video Doorbell](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/210644123-Ring-Video-Doorbell-Chime-Kit-Compatibility-List) and [here for the Ring Video Doorbell 2](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/115003008663-Ring-Video-Doorbell-2-Chime-Kit-Compatibility-List). For the instance that your chime kit may not be compatible, I would recommend considering purchasing a Chime or Chime Pro, which acts like an internal chime kit does, but with more customizable sound options and can be placed anywhere there is a plug in the home!
