Will a stick up cam battery get the same features as plug-in if plugged in?
If I get the Indoor/Outdoor Power Adapter (Barrel Plug) for my Stick Up Cam battery (3rd gen), will it behave like the Stick Up cam plug-in? E.g. advanced motion zones. Thanks!

Hi @monzttr. That is correct! The Stick Up Cam has a feature called [Dual Power Mode](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/360045463592-Changing-power-modes-on-your-Ring-Stick-Up-Cam-3rd-generation-), which allows you to select how your camera is being powered. By selecting Battery mode, you will use a different method of motion detection that helps to preserve battery life. By selecting Wired mode, you will get a more powerful (but more power-intensive) method of motion detection that would quickly drain a battery. :)
