Why do Ring cameras timeout after 10 minutes or so of live streaming?

I have 2 Ring devices and I need them to “live stream” non-stop at times, as if they were CCTV devices. They do not- they timeout after several minutes, and typically hang as I attempt to reconnect immediately. This is NOT a wifi issue. This occurs to the Android and iOS apps, as well as thru the Amazon Alexa integration- viewing on Alexa devices with displays. Is this by design?

Hi @user77508. Ring devices are not designed to act as a CCTV system. Live View will automatically time out after around 10 minutes, it is not intended to be pulled up 24/7 like a CCTV system. You’re welcome to add your vote and feedback to this request to extend Live View.
