Why do I need the outdoor power cable for my Stickup Camera?

I am confused about why I would need the outdoor power cable for my Stickup Camera when the outdoor power cable simply attaches to the indoor power cable.  I don't need the extra length, so can I just use the indoor power cable and plug outdoors?

Hi @user_070af7. If you're installing the Stick Up Cam outside, I would recommend using the outdoor power adapter. This will also give you some flexibility in where you install the Stick Up Cam, as you will have extra cable length to work with. You can use cable clips to safely secure any extra length should you not need it.
