Temporarily Disable camera recording
Why can't I temporarily disable my cameras from recording with one simple button? This makes no sense. Why can we only snooze motion? My battery cameras die because I have to cut the grass. Why do I have to tap 8 buttons just to disable a single camera from recording motion? I have 8 cameras, if I want to do lawn work, I have to turn off motion detection on every single camera and that takes 2 minutes and about 56 button taps.

I know I can do this, but I don't want to do it that way. If I do, I forget my cameras off and go days before realizing it. I just want a temporarily snooze. There should be an easy way to temporally snooze motion on all cameras. Ring only has an option to snooze alerts. Why? That doesn't even make sense. A big company like Ring should have such an easy option available. I'm sure every single ring customer has this exact same issue. And when are you guys going to lower the entry delay time for ring alarm? 30 seconds is way too long!! A burglar can be in my house for 30 seconds before alarm goes off, that's ridiculous! And lower the time for ring pathlights, 30 seconds drains my batteries way too fast. If simple and obvious updates like this can't be made, I may be stepping away from Ring. I've inquired about these issues before, over a year ago, and still nothing. Maybe it is time to switch companies.

Hi @AliRing. Thanks for sharing your feedback. If you have a Ring Protect plan, you could use the Modes feature to control whether your Ring Cameras detect and record motion or not. For example, you could turn off motion detection in Disarmed, and set your system to Disarmed Mode when doing lawn work. You can learn more about Modes in this Help Center article.
