Stick Up Cam and Moisture

I have a 1st gen stick up cam mounted on my deck railing where it sees both back doors on my home. It now has a blurry picture from moisture from being in direct rainfall. There's no acceptable mounting point on the eves where it would see both doors. Will the newer 3rd gen stick up cam handle direct rain better, or can I expect the same issues with moisture? Also is there any way to thoroughly dry the lens on my current camera?
