Smartalerts dont work 9 times out of 10

i can walk back and forth past my camera in broad daylight, and the smart alert wont pick up a person, it will only pick up motion... GARBAGE. Want to send screen shots to technical.. but chat only gave me a fake email address , help@cs.ring.com , that is not monitored, RING IS GARBAGE COMPANY > AVOID. Go hikvision?

      Hi @user3416. Smart Alerts, like the person detection, are designed to help reduce unwanted motion notifications and allow you to control which types of events are and are not recorded. The detection accuracy for person detection can vary based on factors like the time of day and the angle that your Ring device is installed at. While person detection works great for some neighbors, other neighbors may choose not to use this optional feature as it doesn't work as well with their home environment and setup.

        Hey, hope you having a great day!! Smartalerts DONT work. As i've already stated, broad daylight, dusk, night time, and only one person in the shot, and filling about 20%-30% of the screen (so not way, way off in the distance) and it totally ignores them. It DOESNT WORK. I would like to send the stills i took from this daft camera to technical so perhaps they can try and improve one of the worst 'person' detection systems out there. How do i send these stills to technical??

        im Deaf, i cant use the phone... hence asking for the email. I've asked several times and have been ignored several times, or in one instance been supplied with a bad email address just to get rid of me....

      I turn smart alerts off and just use advanced motion detection, works well for me 👍

        what is 'advanced motion detection' ... I see 'Motion Sensitivity', 'Advanced Settings', 'Edit Zones'... thats it... there is not 'advanced motion detection' perhaps with this camera?
