Security Camera: Motion recording descrambler?

My car was recently stolen from my driveway and the motion detector captured the first 30 seconds and then conveniently skipped the next 15 minutes of activity right in my driveway no more than 15 feet from the camera. No battery or WiFi connectivity issues whatsoever. Is there a device criminals have to impact the recording of device or connection back thru the WiFi to Ring? Also, major issues as always with the lag between motion events. Useless product without continuous second to second recording. Very frustrating when Ring skips 20-30 seconds between each motion event. Renders the product useless as you have pray the quality video one is seeking isn’t in the lagged interval. Welcome advice to these glaring concerns of mine Thanks

Ring devices are not designed to record 24/7, but you do have some options with the video recording length, which you can learn more about in [this](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/360040293791-Adjust-the-Video-Recording-Length-on-Your-Battery-Powered-Devices) Help Center Article. In addition, you may want to look at your [Motion Frequency](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/115003477106-Understanding-and-Optimizing-Motion-Detection-with-Motion-Frequency) settings and adjust it to Frequent if needed as this can affect the amount of time between recordings.
