Ring Security Cameras
Ring videos deleted
At 4am this morning my $100k Ram TRX was stolen out of my driveway. I have 2 hard wired outdoor cameras in the driveway and 1 Ring doorbell camera. All of the videos during that time were deleted!!! I read that theives use a wifi scrambler to interfere with the signals? 3 other neighbors also had their videos deleted during this same timeframe! I have trusted Ring for the last 8 years, never again. How can your hi tech cameras be so easily defeated? I don't see the point of buying Ring cameras and security systems if someone can so easily block any recording or app motion notifications. An obvious fix would be to have the cameras start recording automatically for a few minutes if they lose wifi. Then the cameras can upload the videos when wifi is restored. If they are blank during that few minutes, who cares, no harm done.

Hi @user_569df2. I'm very sorry to hear about the theft you experienced. I want to clarify that nobody but the owner of a Ring device can delete videos. If your Ring Cameras had their wifi connection interrupted, there would be no videos recorded. Like many other smart devices, Ring devices may be affected by illegal targeted attempts to interfere with their wifi connection. I'd recommend getting in touch with your internet service provider for any network security concerns.
