Ring indoor camera as a motion detector to trigger the alarm?

Hi, I just wondering if Ring indoor camera can be used as a motion detector to trigger the alarm? If yes, I don't need both motion detector and the camera. Thanks!

Hey @shhuang66. You can connect the Indoor Camera to the Ring Alarm, but only so that if your Ring Alarm is alarming or goes into an entry delay, it will start recording on your Indoor Cam. If you go into the Base Station in your app and select Linked Devices, you can see how you can do this from here! Otherwise, the Indoor Cam cannot detect motion and set off the Ring Alarm in any way, only the opposite. Hope this helps! :)
