Ring Floodlight not sealing to junction box

troubleshooting

I just replaced my floodlight spot and its completely different installation than my old one. The main unit does not seal to the junction box like old one. New one has metal bar for center screw attachment for lights & camera. The screws that are used to mount the bar are keeping it front sealing. Not happy with new design

Hi @Stan_412. Thank you for your feedback on this. What model Floodlight Cam did you have before and which model Floodlight Cam did you replace it with? This will help with clarity when I forward this information.

Same thing for me! I'm mounting in an old flood light base not a junction box. My old device hade the metal plate that worked perfect. The new flood light cam is made for a junction box, even the shortest screws were to long. Bought 10-24 X 3/8" Long and Sponge Window Seal tape 1/2" X 3/8" Stuck it on the back side to close the gap. Worked perfect. I think my old flood light was from 96. Hope that helps.
