Ring Floodlight Install

I’m installing a Ring floodlight camera and the wiring doesn’t match up and I am unsure how to proceed. My house, in California if it matters, has a white sheathed wire that has a red wire and a black wire inside of it. The Ring floodlight has black (hot/live), white (neutral), and green (ground) wires. I was thinking I connect black to black, red to white, and cap the green. But wanted to be certain before I began. Thanks for any advice you can provide.
