Ring Floodlight Camera Pro Wiring Question
Hello all, I have a general question regarding best option for the wiring for my new Floodlight Camera Pro. So i am mounting the camera on my garage with no existing wiring. Inside the garage i have the following but just wondering if any of these places can be used to wire the camera into: 1. Light switch x2 bot operating same light 2. Light fitting on ceiling of garage 3. Double plug socket 4. Junction box for electric car charging point 4. Consumer unit which has some spare positions. So my question is really which of these electric connections is it possible to connect the camera to. Thanks, Andy.

You may want to clarify which Floodlight Cam Pro you have - either the plug in or the hardwired version. The plug in version has a 20 ft cord length (for the US version) so you could plug it into any available electrical outlet. The hardwired version can be directly hardwired into and mounted on a 4 inch round junction box. We have two Floodlight Cam Pro (hardwired version) in our backyard that I installed over the 4 inch round (recessed) junction boxes where we previously had two light fixtures installed.

Double plug socket...should have push-in type terminals on the back. That's how I connected mine.

Hi @user_d3ed47. We have installation instructions for the Floodlight Cam Wired Pro here. The Floodlight Cam Wired Pro needs to be connected to a 100~240 VAC 50/60 Hz power source. If there is no existing wiring available, I'd suggest contacting a qualified electrician to see what your options are.
