Ring camera/floodlight - light is full of water, device no longer works.

I am starting a new conversation since RING closed the old conversation.  I don't understand why an outdoor camera/flood light device is not water-tight!  This is not "condensation" - the light is practically full of water.  Here is my post from the closed conversation. I have this same issue.  At first, it appeared that I was having a battery issue.  Bought the solar panel and that seemed to help.  Now my camera/light is not working at all.  Has anyone gotten a resolution to this issue?  My camera/light is slightly more than a year old - it worked well for the first few months, then we started to try to resolve what we thought were the issues.  I now believe the whole device is defective.  RING - please assist!!!

Hi @user_f2bf05. I apologize if you post was closed. We recently changed the community around and this may have been done by mistake. Nonetheless, our devices are water-resistant but are not waterproof. You learn more about this here.

Thank you for the response.  So are you saying that there is no solution for the light fixture filling with water?  I assumed that these are outside cameras and could withstand the weather.  I wish this would have been brought to my attention before investing in a camera for the side of my house.

Hi @user_f2bf05. If your lens is full of water, there is no fix. The camera is not serviceable and would therefor, need replacement. To see if you qualify for a warranty replacement, Please send us a private message on Facebook or X @Ring or give our support team a call at one of the numbers available here. If you are outside of the US, please visit here to see how to contact support.
