Ring Security Cameras
Red, blue, green flashing lights
Brand new Ring stick up cam, battery powered, flashes red, blue, green at startup. The sequence never changes. The battery has been charged and i even pulled one from my peephole cam that is also charged and working, tried it in this new device. Even going through setup the light sequence is always red, blue, green. I click the button that says “flashing blue” in the app even though it’s not, wants to join the ring network, but fails. All the while flashing red, green, blue. Pushing the button does nothing, and if i hold it down for a long time for giggles, i guess it resets itself and comes back with a fan fare and then begins the red, green, blue flashing sequence. What..is..going..on! This is supposed to be simple and i bet there is a rash of bad cameras out there on the market because that might explain several open boxes at best buy today?

CHi @user_415745. I'd recommend getting in touch with our support team, as this isn't one of the expected light patterns you should see on the Stick Up Cam. You can reach out to our support team at one of the numbers here, or on Facebook @Ring by sending a private message.

I bought a 4 pack yesterday. Exactly the same issue with three of the cameras. Quality control must have been asleep the day this batch was made.

Hi @Ifly2high. Holding down the setup button for at least 20 seconds is how you perform a full reset. If the Stick Up Cam still doesn't go into setup mode after a reset, please follow up with our support team at one of the numbers available [here](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/213608406) so they can look into this further. If you are outside of the US, please visit [here ](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-gb/articles/213608406)to see how to contact support.
