Recording?

I’m new to my ring and there was an accident in front of my camera. That I personally want to have. Our dog was run over by a careless driver and killed. Right after the incident shows up on hourly snap shot but it did not record event. Due to being through glass I believe. But is there any way to see and record the event? It would be very helpful if I can get the accident footage.
