Privacy Cover
troubleshooting

Just bought a brand new indoor Ring camera. 2nd Gen I believe. I set the camera up via the app and it said everything is successful. After installation there is no picture or anything. All it says is Privacy Cover on, please remove. I have done this. I've moved it to the left (unlocked) position and to the right (unlocked) position and I've even removed it entirely. Still the same error message. I have even tried re-setting it up via the app. Still same result. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Make sure your Ring app is updated to the latest version available, and ensure the Indoor Cam 2nd Gen is within range of your wifi router. Verify that you have installed the Indoor Cam 2nd Gen according to these instructions, including the Privacy Cover, then use the reboot option from the Device Health page. Once the reboot is done, slide the Privacy Cover to the right to unlock it. If you've completed the steps above, and you are still unable to access Live View, please reach out to our support team to investigate this further. You can get in touch at one of these numbers, or on Facebook @Ring by sending a private message.
