Need Wi-Fi Turned On?
Howdy, I am just installing my new Ring Indoor Cam. First time user. I have 2 questions that I would appreciate help with. 1- Does the wi-fi on my smartphone have to be turned on to view the camera? 2- After set-up, the camera has been blinking blue for about 15 minutes. Is this unusually long for it to be downloading the latest updates? Thanks in advance, Chuck

Hi @HighlanderCFH. I hope you are enjoying your Indoor Cam! To answer your questions- No, you do not need to be on wifi to view your Live VIew. This can work from cellular data. And the update speed can vary. It is reliant on the RSSI of the camera as well as your download speed for your internet. Let us know how you are liking the Indoor Cam so far!
