Hi, I'm a huge Ring camera fan and I have many of their products.  I few months ago, I picked up the Ring Spotlight Cam Plus (2022 edition) from Amazon.com.  This one has the new design with the twist off lid on the bottom to access the battery compartment.  Recently I began having problems in which fresh batteries would literally drain in a just a few hours from nearly a full charge.  I worked with tech support and we did the usual steps, including replacing the batteries and removing and re-adding the camera device to my account and network.  It seemed OK for a few days then it happened again- batteries turned up completely dead and the device went offline.  I went up on the ladder to replace the batteries again and when I removed the lid to the battery compartment, I noticed there was a good amount of water collecting in the bottom, including covering the tiny copper contacts in the bottom.  It had recently rained pretty hard which probably explains why water could have gotten in there.  I'm not sure if the water is coming in from the top or near the bottom, but it is definitely getting in there.  None of my other Ring cam products have this problem and I have several outside and around my house.  Those units have the flip-down cover that seems to have a better seal.  There doesn't seem to be any kind of seal on battery compartment of the 2022 version. In any case, I recommend product engineering take a look at this issue because I cannot be the only one having this problem (especially in WA state where we are starting to get a lot of rain).  To help in the short term, I sealed the bottom lid by wrapping the seal with black electrical tape.  I'll post back with the results after a few days and it has rained. Cheers, Allan WA State
