Indoor camera

I purchased a echo show 5 and am hoping to use it as a baby monitor. I bought a different camera and was told I would get alerted when there was motion or sound and the alert would go on the echo show 5. That has not happened. I talked to someone else at amazon and they said that a ring product would. My question to you is, if I get a indoor security camera from ring does that have motion/sound detection like when a baby cries and will that alert me on my echo show 5?
