How to install Floodlight Cam Wired Pro on Vinyl Siding Block
Hello, I have searched through the forum but did not see a clear answer to what I am looking for. I have recently had new siding placed on my house, and I am replacing the old motion floodlights with the ring floodlight cam pro. Is there additional hardware that I need to purchase to install this on the mounting block that was installed where the old light was?

What did you end up doing to install? I have the same issue currently.

Hey neighbors. @mpoffo Thank you for sharing your experience and providing some helpful installation tips. @JbradK You can also find the installation instructions for the Floodlight Cam Wired Pro in our Help Center article [here](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/360059068632-Installing-Your-Ring-Floodlight-Cam-Wired-Pro-), which can help you get an idea of what that process looks like. I hope this helps. :)

Did anyone complete a set up? I have the same thing. My only thought is to trace the circle for the electric junction box, use snips to cut the circle, mount the box and then the camera and calk the outside. But there is not a lot of room to work with this way. I’m a little uneasy about lifting my siding to remove the vinyl box first.

I recently installed a Ring Floodlight Camera Pro above our garage. I have a similar type of siding. I used a different mount for mine since I did not have a previous light there. I could have gone that route (that you have) but I used a box that fits over the siding that I could secure directly to the wood under the siding. You obviously want be able to solidly mount the camera. The internal bracket that comes with the camera needs to be secured on both ends to an electrical box. If you can remove the inner portion of the installation box you have here is there a electrical box inside? If so it should have mounting holes where you can secure metal bracket to that box and then put the square covering back. The ring camera mount on the newer models secures with a single screw to the middle of the bracket. Of course make sure you turn off power before installing anything. :)
