Floodlights turning
Flood lights are turning on during daylight at random times and not turning off, I have several cameras, each one is doing this at different times. I have reinstalled them, checked all settings etc. but no luck. Has anyone else experienced this and what was the solution. I have had these cameras for several years and have never had this issue until a couple of months ago.

Hi everyone, thanks for sharing your concerns. To start, I want to clarify that the lights on your Floodlight Cam have a separate range of motion detection from the camera. This is why you may notice the lights come on sometimes without a motion event from the camera. You can find the light specific settings, including the Motion-Activated Lights toggle and the Light Sensitivity, under Device Settings > Light Settings. When the Motion-Activated Lights toggle is turned on, the lights should only come on with motion when it is dark enough outside. If you have your camera installed in an area with shade, such as in an alcove, the lights may come on with motion during the day depending on how shaded the camera is. Please also keep in mind that reflective surfaces and sources of heat, such as appliances or vents, can trigger the motion detection for the lights. You may need to turn off some of the Motion Zones for Lights if your camera is mounted near a heat source. If you're still having persistent issues with the lights on your Floodlight Cam, I'd be happy to help troubleshoot this further, but I would need more information. Which model of Floodlight Cam do you have? The device name, such as Floodlight Cam Wired Plus or Floodlight Cam wired Pro, is located on the Device Health page in the Ring app. If you turn the Motion-Activated Lights toggle off, do the lights still come on?

Thanks @Caitlyn_Ring, any help you can provide to help get this issue fixed would be GREATLY appreciated.There are at LEAST several users reporting very similar issues. In my case, it happens on all 3 of the Floodlight Cam Wired Plus devices I have. It DOES NOT happen on my Spotlight Cam Plus (wired). The issue is that at seemingly random times the lights go on, but DO NOT go off. I'm not sure what triggers the lights on; there is no corresponding video so maybe it was just triggered by the motion sensors (not the camera). However, for some reason the lights never go off. Mine are set to be on for 1 minute and I have waited for over 15 minutes for them to go off, but they never do. There was nothing around that would keep retrigering them. It did even happened once during the day when the lights should never go on. Also, when the lights get "stuck" on, there is no light "icon" displayed in the dashboard for that device so neither the system nor the device seems to "know" that the light is on.All my floodlights worked fine for about 2 years, this just started happening about 1 month ago.I have tried:1) Turning the lights on then off in the app.2) Rebooting the device in the app.3) Power cycling the device.4) A factory reset procedure followed by adding the device back into my system.ALL of these fixed ONLY it temporarily. It happens again a day or two later.I called Tech Support over 2 weeks ago, explained everything, did some troubleshooting, and was told it was being elevated to engineering.A week later I still had not heard anything so I called again, explained everything, and go transferred to "Advanced Tech Support". After explaining everything to the Advanced Tech, I was told that it had NOT been elevated to engineering and that they were going to elevate it.Now it's been well over a week since the second call and I still have not heard anything. UWas this ever resolved? I just installed my Ring Floodlight Cam Wired Pro - did all of the steps - if I put on a schedule, the lights stay off - with the night vision the recordings still come out great, but having the light is kinda the point of the thing, right? Will disable the schedule and try t

UMy Ring floods, all 3 of them, have the same sort of issues. Thank you Remarker for the comprehensive update. Ring folks, we need a solution! Not just annoying to me, requiring frequent attention, it’s annoying to the neighbors.

It's been 7 days!I first reported this issue in a call to Tech support a month ago, was told it was being elevated to engineering, and have still have not heard anything from them about it.Let me ask, if you were having trouble with a somewhat expensive product you purchased (actually 3 of them), how would you feel about this kind of support on it?

YES! Sounds like the exact problem I am having, though it happens in the evening too. I just started happening several weeks ago after 2 years of no issues. I have 3 floodlight cam doing it, but the spotlight cam is not. I've seen several other posts with very similar issues.I have tried reboots in app, hard power cycles, factory resets, but it happens again after a day or two. The app and website make it difficult to determine the firmware version and exactly when it was installed on the devices.Right now I am testing the theory that it only happens when I switch modes (i.e. Home -> Disarmed or Disarmed -> Home). I've left it in Home mode for a few days now and it hasn't happened, unfortunately that means I also get MANY useless videos that we don't need.Sadly, it seems that Ring support is useless and we are going to be stuck with this issue. The first time I called (over 2 weeks ago) I went through everything I did and was told that they were elevating this issue to engineering. I called again a week later because I didn't hear anything, explained it all again, was transferred to "Advanced Tech Support" who told me that no, it was never elevated to engineering and that they were elevating it. It's been over a week and I still have not heard anything.PLEASE call tech support! Maybe if enough people call something will get done. I called late evening and got through pretty quickly.
