Floodlight mic issues

Bought 2 floodlights together and they stopped recording sound as well as during live view sound.Ran through all the steps with support waiting for replacement or refund. Is there a defect in the floodlights? They stopped within 8 hours of each other and not sure if I want to go through with this again
