Floodlight Cam Installation

I'm going to be installing the Floodlight Cam in the next couple of days but before I do I have a quick question around electrical installation. I'm planning on spurring off the back of a double socket as a point in a ring circuit (with no existing spurs at this point). The circuit itself is RCD protected. Is it necessary for this spur to be fused at all, or am I able to to simply wire directly into the security light? If a fuse is required, what's the rating? Thanks
