Delay from motion event to turning on. Spotlight

There is a 3 sec delay from when the motion event is first triggered to when the spotlight is turned on. The result is that I lose the 1st 3 seconds of recording. It is black. I got a real good, fleeting picture of a raccoons tail.

Hi @Millcree. A short delay can be expected when dealing with wireless devices. This delay may be exaggerated if there is a low RSSI in the Ring device. What is the RSSI for your device?
