Convert plugin spotlight camera to hardwire

I’m trying to find instructions to convert a “plugin” spotlight camera to a hardwired configuration. The available Ring hardwired kits I’ve found only address “hardwired” or “battery” versions of the spotlight camera. Does anyone know of a kit for this specific type of conversion? I’m thinking that if no “kit” exists, I would cut the plugin cord and pass through a hole drilled in the mounting cover; expose cut ends of wire and connect to house wires with wire nuts; seal drill hole with silicone. Any recommendations would be appreciated. Thanks
