Cannot remove battery from ring stick up camera

I cannot remove the battery from my stick up camera, it is stuck. After half an hour I finally got it out with a pliers and screw driver. I can see that it will get stuck again if I put a battery back in. Ring is sending me 3 replacements for my 3 cameras but I assume I will have the same problem with those. I have read that this is a known problem but ring had no suggestions.
