Cameras start recording too late

We have a doorbell and three stick up cameras around the house. I've noticed that on motion events, the recording seems to start several seconds into the event, when the movement has clearly been going on for several seconds. Is there a way to get the camera to start recording sooner into the motion event? All my motion settings are set to medium-high already. Would turning them to high get the recording to start sooner? Or would I just get more frequent recordings that start partway into the event? Thanks for your insight.

This has been my problem with my ring camera from day one.  It literally will not start recording until someone is already knocking on the door. I have talked with tech support and have everything set to maximum sensitivity, and by the time the camera starts recording, many times all that is recorded is the door shutting, completely missing even the face of the person while they are walking towards the camera. If this is still the case and the cameras still start recording way too late, find another option. Very frustrating for years it’s been a problem.
