Protect Plus Plan (Yearly Renewal Question)
ring-protect-plans

Hello, so February of this year I subscribed to the Protect Plus Yearly Plan ($100). Many months ago I had removed my credit card from my account and now my plan says "You chose to stop this plan at the end of its billing cycle, on Feb 23, 2022. I recently re-added my credit card into the payment method section and assumed that my plan would auto renew on that date. but it still gives me the message about stopping the plan on Feb 23, 2022 with no other option in the Plan section of my account to renew or change plan. (it now says Protect Plus 1st Gen). How do I get my plan to auto renew? I don't want it to lapse. Anyone help me? Thanks.

As long as we have a valid credit card on file, you will be automatically renewed at the end of your subscription period. If your card on file is not valid, you will receive email notifications from us alerting you that your card needs to be updated. The best next step will be checking your plan status by signing in at Ring.com. There you can confirm plan status and frequency (monthly/ annually) of payments. I hope this helps! :) https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/360022109431-Changing-your-Payment-Method-Updating-or-Canceling-your-Ring-Protect-Plan

Hello, I just want to give an update. Today is Feb 23rd and my plan is suppose to auto renew. Yesterday, on the 22nd, I added a new camera onto my ring account. Today it says my "Protect Plan" account is under a free trial(29 days left). When I logged into my account under "My Plans", it gives me the option to subscribe for Protect Plus (1st Gen) $10/month with no option for the $100/year plan. I confirmed that I have a valid credit card on file. Why didn't my account auto renew? and why am I only receiving the option for PP (1st gen) $10/month plan? I want to subscribe for the $100/yearly plan. As I mentioned in my original post, I don't want my account to lapse because I want to continue the "Extended Warranties for All Devices" benefit for being a protect plus account. If you can help look into my account, I would greatly appreciate it. thanks again.

A free Ring Protect Plan trial will come with a new Ring device, but that trial period only applies to the one new device, and does not apply to existing devices on the account. The existing Ring device on the account will still abide by it's current subscription and billing preferences. For further assistance with your Protect Plan subscription renewal, and to ensure your devices are covered as desired, please give our support team a call at one of the numbers available [here](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/213608406).
