Is it true my bill is increasing 3 times as much?
I received email from Ring noting that my Plus 1st Gen plan will go from $99 per year, to not only $199 per year to maintain most of my services, to include local storage, but also that if I don't also pay another $100 per year, I will not have Professional monitoring. This is 3 x what I'm currently paying for, and if true, I can't reason how this is not defined as a textbook bait-&-swish in legal terms. I would love to continue this discussion in another forum, but the phone representative says there is no other contact or recourse here.

It appears Ring has become a bait and switch company and here is why I say that. So I recently added a second location to our ring account and initially had the free 30 day trial. A pop up kept appearing in the app asking me to upgrade from the 30 day trial which I did after about 3 days to get rid of the popup. Surprise the pop up was still there. Ring support said even though I had upgraded, I would have to live with the popup until the 30 day free trial was over. Once that was done and my standard plan on the second location started, the popup would go away. And of course the popup appeared on both my locations even though only one was on free trial. Now the best part, the 30 day trail is done and both accounts are now paid under a standard home plan. But guess what, now I have a popup every time I open the app that says "Want to resume premium features? Learn How." and it appears on both my location accounts within the app. these are paid accounts on the standard plan. This popup makes the app nearly unusable. If you miss the little X to close the popup by even a fraction of an inch, you go to a screen to pay and upgrade to the premium plan. Ring support says the only way to get rid of this popup is to upgrade to the premium plan. I have talked to them twice about it and unless I upgrade to the premium plan, I will deal with this popup in the app for both of my locations as long as I remain a customer. Anyone else dealing with this? Has anyone ever used the Blink camera system to know if that company treats customers the same way. We are probably going to switch to Blink but am waiting hear from them about popus in their app.
