If I subscribe to a ring plan today, will I be able to see video from yesterday?
My neighbor had something stolen off his car last night. I was hoping to see if my ring camera caught anything, but I don't have a subscription plan. If I were to sign up for the subscription plan today, what I be able to see video from yesterday?

That's dumb. I really wish I had a different camera system. I am going to get on amazon now and leave a review that fits your horrible service.

UWell then don’t be so cheap and pay for a plan. It’s not like it’s millions of dollars. You want to give a bad review because you choose not to buy the subscription after buying the product. Leave yourself a bad review too

UYa, it is dumb. The fact that you might have had a plan that only covers your doorbell and didnt realize you needed to upgrade your plan to get footage on a camera is not your fault or make you cheap. And a company this large should still back up a day or two of footage for this type of scenario cause you might not have realized the plan wasnt sufficient. Its CHEAP on their part not to. If they dont pay, fine the footage remains locked, but if they do subscribe they should see a day or two back unlocked. Only an ignorant person would attack you for complaining. I had a subscription for my doorbell and put in one camera over the weekend, never got a notice that my footage wasnt going to be saved without a PLAN UPGRADE. Two days later someone ran over my trash can and now i cant see who did it even tho i upgraded the same day it happened (not knowing my previous basic plan was only good for my doorbell). This massive company cutting corners instead of being proactive for its customers. I remember when you didnt even need a plan. Their only care is the money, but without customers you wont make money. Keep biting the hand that feeds you.

Hi @pmaki. I'm sorry to hear about what happened with your neighbor. The answer to your question is no, you aren't able to go back and view previous events from before you had a valid Ring Protect plan in place. These events will not be saved unless you have a plan. Once you have a subscription in place, any events that are recorded moving forward will be available until the video storage time expires.
