Extension cable for solar panel

Had to purchase an extension cable for solar panel to stick up camera, it’s says solar not connected. What did I do wrong or how to fix .

Please ensure the Solar Panel is getting several hours of direct sunlight daily for an optimal charge. I recommend also checking the Solar Panel cable connections to ensure it is securely connected. As a test, try eliminating the extension cable to see if your Solar Panel works without it. The extension cable used may not be delivering the intended connection.
