Did I mess up with plan when I upgraded to Alarm Pro base unit?

I was (as of yesterday) on the Ring Protect Plus yearly plan for $100. I swapped out my original base unit with a new Ring Pro base and that came with being presented with questions about deregistering and billing.  I signed up for the Ring Premium plan and I was ok with my yearly cost doubling but I thought that included professional monitoring like my Protect Plus plan had. I started looking at it today and realized my cost will triple ($300) with monitoring so I cancelled the monitoring. The kicker is I just saw a notice that in March I would have been moved into a standard plan with monitoring for the same $200 yearly that I was ok with paying.  Did I screw up by how I changed plans during the equipment swap?
