Hello @SonofLiberty82, the alarm will only arm/disarm is you use a code that was added via our app. Locking/unlocking manually will not arm/disarm the alarm. One of the reasons for this is because it would be a security risk for neighbors with glass panels next to their door. If someone broke the glass and unlocked the deadbolt, we would not want this to disarm the alarm.

SFor disarming the alarm I understand the need for a code. However, if I close and lock my door, then enter the code, it will unlock the door again. I am more concerned about manually locking the dead bolt from the inside vs locking the deadbolt from outside using the “Schlage” button. I haven’t tested yet.

RHi @SonofLiberty82, I see now the specific functionality you are looking for. Currently, smart locks require a pin code entry to “know” whether they should be arming or disarming the Alarm system. However, this functionality might be something you can create with an IFTTT recipe or something similar. Thanks you again for sharing your new feature interests, we appreciate them and will make sure to post any updates to the Alarm system here!

Test button is there for the motion sensors, but not (at least in Android app) for the Panic button...the one I'm most interested in, as don't really know if it's going to work until a bad situation arises... everything is up to date, any ideas why no test button?

RHi @JWhitler, currently the Panic Button test is only available during setup. If you already have your Panic Button installed, you can remove it, then add it back to test it. I will make sure to bring your feedback to the team that it would be nice to have a testing option outside of setup for the Panic Button, as I can see how that would be a helpful feature. Thanks for your feedback!

DHi Is it planned functionality that my dome siren goes off when the smoke detector goes off? That has happened both times (when cooking). The weird thing also is that when I dismissed the alarm, the alarm mode changed to disarmed.

Excellent question! Yes this is expected functionality. When the Base Station sends an alarm signal out, the Dome Siren will also sound. Once the sirens have activated, the application will present you with a silencing option, which is to silence the Smoke/ CO and Dome Siren. Upon selecting this option, the Alarm will indeed disarm in order to avoid false dispatch due to a continuous alarm.

YHello, I would like to know how to deal with smoke/co listeners triggering during cooking. The alarm would be set to “disarmed” or “home” mode. Cooking sometimes sets off the smoke detectors. What actions do I take to prevent false dispatches? Is there a way to put the smoke listeners into a temporary sleep mode? How much time do I have to turn off the alarm after it triggers to prevent a false dispatch?

MHello @YK2000! As of right now there is no sleep mode for the Smoke/ Co listeners. If cooking is presenting a potential false alarm scenario, moving the detector away from the kitchen would be the best solution. When it comes to dispatch for a smoke alarm, the professional monitoring station will call the emergency contact(s) first before dispatching emergency services.
