SOS Button location for alarm

This is my first post so I'm hoping that it actually works. I'm just wondering why the SOS button is at the very bottom of the screen on the ring app for alarm. It's in a very difficult location to close the app using the swipe up function of the new Google pro 7 or any Android with the little less than circle and square at the bottom. That's where, from what I know, most apps are minimized and closed. Closed. I could see a lot of accidental SOS button touching. Trying to close the app. Is there any other place it could be put? Thank you
