Same problem. When someone Rings the door I the app on my Imac alerts me. However, I'm unable to communicate with the other person and I can not hear them. This was not a problem until about a month ago. Solution? Thanks

Having the same issue here on a brand new mac mini.OS X 10.15.4Ring App: 2.7.1No audio in live view, recorded playback works fine. No problems from my iphone or older iMac.

Hi and thanks for the response. I've removed the Ring app, plus all the files in the Library associated with it, then fresh installed from the app store. I rebooted, zapped PRAM and ran the app when the system booted up - same set of issues. The outputs are set correctly for sound and I do get sound

I have tried all the same things that billbill has tried and I have no sound from my Ring 3 Plus doorbell on my 2020 iMac. I'm running macOS Big Sur Version 11.2.3. Ring app on Mac is version 2.8.2. I have uninstalled, reinstalled. The sound works fine on both mine and my wife's iPads as well as on

P.S. One suggestion was to turn off Bluetooth. This is not a practical solution as my keyboard and trackpad both use Bluetooth. Turning it off renders my computer inoperable. I do use a VPN on occasion, however, it is off more than it is on. Whether connected to the VPN or not there is still no soun

same issue, from what I read above nobody was able to solve it by following the links, this clearly looks like a bug in the app

I have a similar issue right now. The sound does not come out of my selected output, but chose a different source (one of my monitors) for some reason. I can't change it to my speakers which is selected under the Sound settings.

I have the same issue as above. No sound coming out of my speakers but microphone works. Ring app 2.8.2 on Big Sur. I have one monitor connected but it doesn't have speakers and my primary sound output is set to my mac speakers... Reinstalling didn't help. Any update on this issue?
