Password reset email took six hours to reach my wife's email. Why?
Why does it take so long for email to arrive for password reset. Then when it does, the change gets rejected? What kind of bogus company is this?

This Email delay issue is still relevant. Stating that other ISPs are at fault is incorrect. Mails from other sources arrive in seconds to a couple of minutes at most. Emails to verify account taking hours. This is a RING issue and needs to be addressed. The time waste when simply setting up a device is not a great user experience. I invited my wife as as shared user and waited over 4 hours for the mail to arrive. Then we set up the account on the phone and waited 30min for the activation email. Then... the shared device did not show. RING's suggestion is to wait 6 hours and if it does not appear, remove the APP and reinstall. Really???? Created a new user account for the house staff and still waiting after 30min for the verification email. If this issue is still happening 2.5 years later there IS A PROBLEM!!!

Email depends on where it's going. If it's just going to a Gmail account it should be quick. But if through an Internet provider or work it can take time. Gmail is always checking for mail so it comes up as soon as it comes in, others may not check as often.
