Faceid to open app
app-settings
ios
Hello! So a few days ago my daughter was playing on our iPad and because we receive ring notifications often, she tapped on one, opened the app, and accidentally hit fire sos. Fire truck arrived in 5 minutes. Love the fact that this mishap shows the service works, but I don’t really want this to happen again. Is there a way to prevent children from opening the app without faceid or a passcode. I tried looking it up but couldn’t find anything helpful. Appreciate the help.

Hi @9ede26a7d43c054beac0. My daughter steals my iPad more than I'd like to admit 😅. Right now, the best was to mitigate this would be to log out of the Ring app when not using it. I realize this is not an ideal solution, but it is a possibility. Using Face ID would be an excellent addition to the Ring App. As we value our neighbors' feedback, we've created a [Feature Request board](https://community.ring.com/c/products/feature-request-board/24). Feel free to add this and any future feature requests there. This will help us to organize and share your requests with our teams here, as well as allow other neighbors to comment and add interest, all in one place. Feel free to link that post you make in the Feature Request board here so other neighbors that come to this thread can easily find your feature!
