Change date format for videos from Ring devices

There seems to be no way to change the date format for videos from the Ring devices through the app. Both my devices show date format as YYYY-DD-MM, which it totally backward from what I want. There is no option in the Ring software to change it and the suggestions on here to go through the Community web site seems totally unacceptable. These suggestions to go to “Preferences” don’t work, since they do not show an option for changing the date format, only the time zone. This is very disappointing that something such as a date format is unable to be changed.
