Apple Watch not silencing (Snoozing) Alerts

Recently when I select the snooze function on my apple watch for the ring notifications, it does not snooze. In the past, when the Ring notification would pop up on my watch, I would scroll down and select the snooze for 1 hour option (I don't remember the exact wording) and then I would not get another notification for at least an hour. However, recently, when I do the same thing, I will get another notification at any time (i.e. 2 min later, 12 min later, etc). Any thoughts as to what setting might be off. It is a Series 6 watch.
